Residency Grant Program

We are very pleased to announce a new initiative: The Sustainable Arts Foundation Residency Grant Program. This is a two-year pilot program designed to encourage artist and writer residency programs to make their residencies accessible to artists and writers with children.

Currently, our primary focus is our award program for individuals. We offer unrestricted cash awards to artists and writers, each of whom has at least one dependent child under the age of 18. In our first two years, we have awarded over $100,000.

We expect that the funding awarded through these new residency grants will not only support the organizations that receive them, but that the ideas they generate can be shared and their effects multiplied.

For more details on this program, please visit our residency grant page.

Summer Application Window is Closed

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to apply.

We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of interest in our awards. Once we’ve gathered a few more statistics, we’ll share them.

But it’s clear that our mission — to support parents pursuing creative work — has certainly been validated, and we’re very much looking forward to reviewing your submissions.
